Anastacio is officially a Denver-an, Denver-ite(???)!!! :)
Well it has been a week since Anastacio moved to Denver. He drove with his dad and arrived on Saturday. He is moved into his house with his new roommates and getting settled into his new job as well as getting ready to start his masters degree in a few weeks. It has been really hard to be apart but things are getting a little better with time.
We have decided to write letters to each other at least once a day which I personally have enjoyed. Who doesn't like to get letters in the mail?! So much fun and such a great way to keep in touch. I look forward to years down the road cracking up laughing at all the goofy things we write about to each other. jaja. :)
I am so excited to go visit soon! Denver seems to be the perfect place for us to start our married life together! Here is a brief summary of what I have gathered about Denver from the phone calls so far.
-Bunnies everywhere
-Extremely friendly people everywhere (apparently even friendlier than Texas...shocking right?! We need to step up our game Texas...)
-Augustine Institute is amazing and has a wonderful community
-Parish is beautiful and very active in 40 Days for Life (Oh man, I am going to fit right in there. jaja)
-No bad area of Denver...except Auroa.
-Weather is quote, "AWESOME" (We'll seeeeee.... I freeze with anything below 80)
-Basements, basements, basements
-Traffic and public transportation is much better (They have a light rail system to help get you all over the place)
-Views to die for
-Hiking (Yay!)
-White Water Rafting (um yes please... about time to mark that off my bucket list!)
-Better school system
It has been so wonderful hearing all about his days up there when we chit chat. He has started to catch on to my asking for pictures and now sends me random pictures of things he thinks I would enjoy seeing. He's so sweet to me. :D
Here is a picture of the Denver Cathedral.... Beautiful! :)
Well until next time! :)
Have a wonderful solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary!!! :)
