4 August 2013: What a wonderful weekend it has been!

4 August 2013
What a wonderful weekend it has been! :)

In preparation of marriage I have decided to do a 5 month consecration to our Blessed Mother. This Saturday was the first day and there was a total of seven girls that decided to join in the consecration! I was so excited! We all woke up early and attended the Saturday Tridentine Mass followed by confession with the AMAZING priest that Anastacio and I have been going to for marriage prep. Everyone LOVED Father. He is such a wonderful priest to go to for confession and I was pleasantly surprised that he was the priest that both celebrated the mass as well as heard confessions. After mass and confession we spent 15 minutes in adoration in contemplation of Mary. Lastly we did our prayer of consecration followed with a rosary. It was so wonderful to see such a beautiful group of women all coming together to spend their Saturday morning in such strong devotion to Our Lady. :)

Later that day Anastacio and I had the privilege of visiting our friends who just had their first born baby. He was so adorable and it was so great to catch up with great friends.  :)

Afterward, Anastacio surprised me with flowers and took me to a very nice dinner for our one year anniversary. The food was delicious and it was great to have some one on one time during dinner and while we went on a walk for about an hour while waiting for our movie. I am marrying one of the most chivalrous and sweetest men there is. It still blows me away at all the little things he does that shows he cares. It was surreal to think that he will be leaving this week and that may be one of our last dinners out together. While it can be a little sad we couldn't help but smile the whole evening, we are so incredibly blessed that God brought us together. :)

Today, we went to our usual Sunday mass and had a group of our friends come and say goodbye to Anastacio. The mass was beautiful as always and we all went to lunch afterwards to catch up. I just gotta throw this out there.... Our friends are pretty awesome. It is always so great to be able to carry on conversations in regards to the faith that isn't watered down or superficial. Today we had the pleasure of having a seminarian from FSSP come join us for lunch. He is has recently become a lector and was explaining what all that entails, such as that he is able to officially say the blessing over bread. Fortunately, our friend Katherine had a small vile of holy water and it was just enough for him to use to bless the bread for our meal. I had never seen that done before! It was awesome! :)

Later, the Hinojosa family threw a family dinner for Anastacio. My family, Anastacios aunties, uncles, grandparents, and godfamily all attended and we had a blast! Anastacio and I officially asked his godsisters and my neice/goddaughter to be our flower girls. We bought little wooden boxes with a flower pressed behind glass on the top. When they opened it there was a bracelet and a note asking "Will you be our flower girl?" inside. They were so excited as were we. It was so great to be around so much family and it was a wonderful way to spend Anastacio's last Sunday at home. :)

Well it is way past my bedtime and I am running off a few hours of sleep (Probably a lot of typos/errors...sorrryyyy. jaja :P )

Nighty Night! :)
