Hello all! :)
We have been busy busy busy here. Anastacio is getting ready to move to Denver in nine short days. It is going to be difficult to be away from each other for so long but we are both excited for this new chapter in our lives.
This past week has been a roller coaster of meetings and organizing his move. Part of us kind of wishes we had set the wedding for this summer but we know that God is calling us to grow in patience and we have both been thoroughly enjoying our engagement/betrothal time. We have learned and grown so much as a couple and I am so thankful for the time to embrace our preparation for marriage.
So far the wedding preparations are going great. We currently meet with Fr. Schorpe for marriage prep and love it. He is such a funny and wise man. Every time we meet with him we learn more and feel more prepared for the practical everyday logistics of marriage as well as the spiritual. He is a very humble man, and I know that we will miss him once we both move to Denver.
We have meet with caterers, photographers, bakers, florist, and have completed our wedding registry (Side note: Bed Bath and Beyond is a great place to register. We were very impressed.). Things are coming together! So exciting! Hopefully sometime next week we will be sending out our Save the Dates and finalizing our formal wedding invitations. We decided to design them ourselves so hopefully they look okay. jaja. :)
As mentioned before, Anastacio will be moving to Denver in a few days. He will be entering into the Augustine Institutes Masters in Theology Graduate program. We are both extremely excited for this opportunity for him to study under some of the great scholars of our modern day church such as Ted Sri, Scott Haun, and so many more. I can't wait to hear about all the interesting things that he will be studying. Anastacio has such a passion for the Church and it amazes me how much he puts into learning more each day. It seems like every 3 days he has started and finished at least one or two books. It makes me literally laugh out loud when I get random text messages such as, "Greek is awesome! I just memorized 40% of the words used in the new testament in greek!". Yep, I am marrying a catholic nerd and I LOVE IT! jajaja :)
As well as getting his masters in theology Anastacio got hired by Harvard to work in the Denver Public Schools to teach under privileged children (8th graders) math. He is very excited and I know that this is going to be a great fit for him. He does such a wonderful job with the youth and has been given such a gift in teaching.
Please keep us in your prayers as we do you! :)
Love always,
Megan Bray (&Anastacio Hinojosa)
